What services does Metro International Traders offer?
We provide nationwide transport truck booking services, ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods across India. Our services cater to a wide range of industries, offering flexible booking options and real-time tracking.
What is the liability of Metro International Traders?
Consignments are booked at the owner's risk. Metro International Traders is not responsible for any loss, damage, or destruction of goods during transit. The carrier reserves the right to repudiate any claims for compensation without assigning any reason.
Who is responsible for the E-Way bill and penalties?
The driver, owner, and broker are solely and jointly responsible for any penalties related to invalid or expired E-Way bills. Metro International Traders is not liable for penalties if invoices are supplied without GST numbers, E-Way bills, or the full address of the consignor or consignee.
What goods are not accepted for transport?
We do not accept perishable goods, silver, valuable jewelry, or precious articles for transport. Our officers and servants are unauthorized to accept such goods, and Metro International Traders is not responsible for any loss or damage if such goods are booked.
What are the conditions for fragile or hazardous goods?
Fragile, hazardous, and extra hazardous goods are accepted for carriage only at the risk of the consignor or consignee. Metro International Traders is not responsible for breakage, leakage, or any damage to such goods during transit.
Where are disputes resolved?
All disputes arising from consignments are subject to the jurisdiction of Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) Court only. This includes any claims related to the loss, damage, or misdelivery of goods.
What happens if goods are delayed or damaged?
Metro International Traders reserves the right to change the route or method of transport. In cases of delays due to unforeseen circumstances, goods may be held at the nearest office or godown, and the consignor/consignee is responsible for taking delivery. We are not liable for any loss due to natural phenomena, accidents, or other emergencies.
How is demurrage handled?
Demurrage will be charged at Rs.5/- per mound or part of a mound per day after 2 hours of cargo arrival at the destination. Goods cannot be delivered without the original copy of the Challan.
What are the responsibilities of the consignor?
The consignor is responsible for ensuring all necessary documents, such as GST numbers and E-Way bills, are provided. Any complaints regarding shortages or misdelivery must be made within 2 days of the consignment date. The consignor is also liable for the payment of lorry hire if the consignee refuses to pay.
